DEPTH OF FIELD

Describe: The photo depicts a girl in focus, holding cut outs of people holding hands. Farther behind her are a couple walking together, out of focus. The setting is placed with trees behind the characters, creating a figurative piece of art. 

Analyze: This photo has a darker tone to it, presenting harder shapes to the picture. Being that neither characters are placed in the center of the photo creates more of and outcast tone to the photo. The image shows depth of field with the image of the girl in focus and the image of the people in the background out of focus. Due to the assignment, this was done intentionally. 

Interpret: The image seems dark, having a dark tone to it. I think the meaning I was trying to convey was an image of the longing to be accepted, or loved. This image was taken outdoors, which bumps up the contrast to the photo. 

Judge: I think that this photo is successful because the image works. It has contrast and portrays depth of field, while also contributing the message through the piece of work. In my opinion, this is one my of my best pieces yet. :)
